Foreigners have to get work permit prior to granting Vietnam visa

Foreigners want to work in Vietnam, they must get work permit prior to get Vietnam visa. They can get work permit at State administrative

According to Bui Van nam-deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security has announced in the congress conference on Sept 10th. To control foreigners coming and out of Vietnam, Vietnam need the law to control this state. Many case, foreigners change purpose of entering Vietnam to stay longer in Vietnam which is not allowed complying with Vietnam law.

However, according Truong Thi Mai-the leader of the management social problem said that Vietnam should separate tourism purpose and work purpose into 2 different cases.

In addition, Truong Thi Mai also take many question such as: What is relationship between these rules and labor law? Or should Vietnam deport foreigners that work in Vietnam without work permit?

Many committee agreed that foreigners visitors have to get work permit before get visa into Vietnam to avoid they take advantage of traveling to change purpose to work in Vietnam and stay longer permission. Mr Nguyen Kim Thoa-the chairman of committee of defense said that this rule aims to control the entry, exit of foreigners that must consistent with labor law and the change to build this law is so complicated process.

To develop tourist industry and Vietnam’s economy, they thinks that the draft law should show the open door policy but still ensure control foreigners coming and out of Vietnam with right aims.
